75 Years Later, 97 Year Old Vet Reunited With French Lost Love

Get Your Tissues Ready, This Is A Story Of Love Lost And Found After Almost A Lifetime Of Waiting.
75 Years After The End Of WW-II, A Couple From Opposite Sides Of The World Have Finally Been Reunited, In What Was A Highly Emotive Meeting. Army Veteran K.T. Robbins, Aged 97, And From America, Was Reunited With Jeannine Pearson, A French Woman, Now Aged 92.

The Couple First Met In 1944 When Robbins Had Been Posted To France During The Second World War. He Was 24 And Jeannine Was Only 18. Their Romance Was Cut Short As K.T. Found Himself Being Transferred To Another Part Of France, Over On The Eastern Front. The Pair Lost Touch From Then On, Never Hearing From One Another Again.

When The War Finished K.T. Went Back To America Where He Was To Marry Lillian His Wife Of 70 Years. Lillian Died In 2015. Jeannine Too Was Married In 1949, And Went On To Have 5 Children. Her Husband Has Also Passed Away.

During That 75 Years Robbins Held Onto A Picture Of Jeannine, And Whilst He Never Forgot About Her, He Was Resigned To The Fact That He Would Never See Her Again.

Miraculously, A TV Station In France Heard About The Story And They Managed To Find Jeannine.

They Set Up A Reunion For The Pair In France Where She Was Living. The Timing Could Not Have Been Better, As It Came The Day Before The 75th Anniversary In Remembrance Of D-Day And The Normandy Beach Landings.
