(A father is letting five kids make a complete mess of the restaurant. They’re ripping napkins and using it as confetti, breaking chopsticks and screaming their little heads off)
Me: “Sir, I’m going to have to ask you to tell them to stop doing that. They are disturbing the other customers.”
Father: *beaming* “No.”
Me: “No, as in, no you won’t tell them to stop it?”
Father: *still beaming *”Yes.”
(I have to get back to work at this point and sure enough, the kids keep misbehaving. Several customers complain to me but I have no authority to throw them out. The last to complain is a table with about eight young guys.)
Customer 1: “So there’s nothing you can do about them?”
Me: “I’m so very sorry sir, but no. I can get you a drink from the house to make up for it.”
Customer 2: “No, that won’t do.”
Me: “Well, I can see if I can get you a free dessert…”
Customer 2: “Not what I meant. Can’t you get your boss?”
Me: “I’m afraid he’s not in, sir.”
Customer 1: “Well we won’t accept any free stuff. I bet that would come out of your pay.”
Customer 3: “Hold on…”
(The customer gets up and the others immediately follow him to the noisy, messy table. They’re now surrounded by eight tall young men who look mighty pissed.)
Customer 3, to the father: “Tell them to stop it.”
Father: *still beaming* “No.”
Customer 1: “You’re upsetting the waitress.”
Father: “Do you guys even work here?”
Customer 1: “No, we’re from that prison up the street. We’re out on parole. Funny coincidence, we all served seven years for kidnapping and murdering a bunch of noisy brats and a jerk who made minimum-wage waitresses cry.”
(At this point the kids become very, very quiet and the other patrons start giggling and staring)
Father: “You’re lying.”
Customer 4: “Wanna take that chance, buddy?”
(One more lecherous grin was enough to send the whole bunch of misfits scurrying to the exit. My knights in shining armor actually got applause from the other diners and a free meal from me)

A beloved dad has recently warmed hearts online when his daughter surprised him after nearly three years apart. The man couldn’t stop crying for hours on end.
In the heart-warming video (https://youtu.be/fZWnuw7b5Cg), Jordyn Rassi, 26, initially snuck up onto the porch of her father William Nutting Jr.’s home in Spokane Valley, Washington.
At that time, Jordyn waited with her husband, Tyler, as William, who goes by JR, headed outside.
As soon as the father caught sight of his daughter, JR, 59, screamed “OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD!” and threw down his hat and glasses in shock.
After that, he darted across the porch to give Jordyn a huge hug, sobbing on her shoulder.
Jordyn then captured her dad in his living room, the kitchen, and even at a restaurant – each time the moment would hit him, and he would be required to wipe away tears once more.
The surprise took place on May 22. Before that moment, Jordyn, living in South Bend, Indiana, had not seen father since August 2018.
Jordyn shared the separation was caused by a number of factors including work scheduling, unforeseen medical bills, and then the pandemic.
When speaking of the reunion, Jordyn said: “I was super excited to see him again since it had been so long, but I was also excited to see his reaction — I know my dad and knew it would be priceless.
“I was so incredibly happy.
“It was even better than I imagined, and I’m so glad we caught it on camera.
“It’s a memory I will treasure forever.
“He is very emotional, so he definitely cried a lot of happy tears.
“He had welled up and gotten excited all over again a few times before I started recording his reactions again.
“They were too priceless not to – and this went on for the rest of the night.
“He would be in the middle of something and look over at me, or I would leave the room and come back, and he’d either start to well up again, say something like ‘There’s my daughter, she’s really here!’ to my stepmom, or just point and smile in disbelief as my stepmom and husband watched.”

The 32-year-old maid claims that she only wanted the baby to sleep so that she also could rest.
Reportedly, this maid was sentenced to j.a.i.l after it was revealed that she placed an Anarex tablet in milk that she fed to the baby whom she was looking after.
In her defence, this woman stated that she was tired and she hoped the medication would make the child sleep to let her rest.
The domestic helper who is from Indonesia cannot be named due to a gag order protecting the victim’s identity.
The baby’s mother, 33, hired this maid to take care of her child and perform household chores. The woman worked for the family for about 14 months before the incident.
The helper did not raise any complaints about her employment
during her time with the baby’s family. When feeling tired from looking after the baby, she did not let her employer know about her weariness.
However, things took a turn on December 5 last year. At that time, the baby’s mother asked the maid to feed her 13-month-old baby, milk at about 8.30pm.
The maid retrieved the baby’s milk bottle from the kitchen which already had about 100ml of milk. After that, she went to her own bedroom to take an Anarex tablet from her cupboard. This woman knew that Anarex was a type of drowsy medication because she had previously consumed it herself.
Then the maid plotted to feed the baby milk with an Anarex that evening, so that the child would sleep through the night without requiring any tending.
After placing this tablet into the milk, the domestic helper fed it to the baby–who drank about 90ml of the substance. The child then fell asleep after about 20 minutes and then the maid placed her into a cot before returning to the kitchen to wash the milk bottle.
The incident was just spotted when the victim’s cousin later saw something blue and white in the milk bottle and alerted the mother. The mother then came to check for herself and saw the Anarex tablet at the bottom of the bottle.
The baby’s mother immediately asked the maid about the tablet. The maid was scared of this confrontation and stated that she was unaware of the tablet in the bottle.
However, the employer decided to confront the maid again when she tasted the tablet. The maid this time, admitted to lacing the baby’s milk with Anarex and apologised.
The child’s mother then called the police and took her baby to the hospital the next day. The baby was examined and then was found to be in fair condition with stable vital signs.
