Are you looking for a fun and easy painted pumpkin idea for Halloween this year? If your kids (or you!) love Cookie Monster, then you need to give this This Cookie Monster pumpkin a try!

This pumpkin is definitely more-cute-than-creepy, which is totally fine by me! Not everything for Halloween has be blood and guts and scary. This pumpkin is the perfect decoration for your house plus it doubles as a way to serve cookies, not to mention your kids will love it!

If you’re worried that you have to be super artistic to pull this off – trust me you don’t! Just hollow out your pumpkin, cut a mouth, paint the pumpkin blue and add the Styrofoam eyes. Every pumpkin will look a little different, and that’s totally fine.

Here are some pictures of pumpkins other people have made to get your creative juices flowing.

If carving out teeth is too tricky, a simple smile will do!

How cute is this little guy?!

If you don’t have time to hollow out and carve your pumpkin you can always just paint it instead.

You can also add some more Sesame Street characters to your family of pumpkins. Check out these adorable Elmo and Cookie Monster painted pumpkins, how cute are they?
