Discipline is a very crucial aspect of parenting; humans talk to and teach their children, give them a time-out or even ground them when they do something particularly wrong- they cut them off from social media and all other privileges till they see a change in their behaviors, animals would also do something like that too.
The important thing is for both parties- the father and the mother to be united during the meting out of the punishment in order to have a united front and for more respect for their disciplining techniques from their children. It seemed like these cats- both the dad cat and the mom cat were totally on board about this method of punishment.
