Wintertime is coming, and when this season appears also the colds and the flu appear affecting everyone regardless of the age and gender. Instead of immediately turning over to the available medications, you can try this homemade soup.
It is easy for preparation, but it provides a remarkable protection against these ailments in the most natural way. It has in its content potent antimicrobial ingredients which will boost your immune system and at the same time fight infections and bacteria. This is what you need in order to prepare it:
50 garlic cloves
3 cups of old bread
1 cup of fatty sour cream
1 bunch of parsley
2 teaspoons of olive oil
2 tablespoons of butter
1 teaspoon of thyme
6 cups of chicken soup
Method of preparation:
Prior making it, preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Then mix a third of the garlic cloves with some olive oil and cover it with aluminum foil.
Place this mixture in the oven baking it for an hour and a half. After that, let it cool off. Meanwhile, take a pot and place the butter in it along with some olive oil, when the butter is melted put the onions and stew them for around 10 minutes.
Once the garlic is cooled off, squeeze it in order to eliminate the excess oil and then add it to the onions. Next, mix nicely all of the ingredients and include the chicken soup and herbs.
This mixture needs to be boiled on a low heat, and then include also the bread and simmer for additional 5 minutes.
When the bread becomes soft, remove the herbs and blend the mixture. After that, place the creamy soup back into the pot and include the sour cream. In the end, season it at your own preference.
