Parents love their adopted children, just as much as if they were their biological children.
This is a story of young lady Ingeborg McIntosh, who went through a lot to adopt her son Jordan 28 years ago.
At the time of adoption, he was just a newborn, but for the next four years, Ingeborg tried to convince his birth mother to let her adopt him. But she had been set her heart to give him in a black family.
When nobody was interested to adopt the Jordon then Ingeborg was finally allowed to adopt him.
“They placed him in my arms and it was love at first sight,” Ingeborg says.
Then after 20 years, this relationship took a dramatic turn.
The Ingeborg great family has cared for 125 kids over the years, but Jordan has been stolen their hearts.
Jordan raised in Ingeborg’s family because his biological mother didn’t want the family to adopt him. She wanted her son should be adopted by black parents.
So it was impossible to find a home for Jordan. Then when he was 4 years old Ingeborg and her family adopted him.
“He was a part of the family, no matter what,” says Ingeborg.
20 years later, Jordan received a heartbreaking news, her mother had polycystic kidney disease and needed a kidney transplant.
“I feel like this was my calling in life, I guess,” Jordan says. “Hopefully, I can do more for her as I get older, but for the moment, it’s the least I could do.”
Ingeborg stopped Jordan not to go through with his plans, but he had made his mind.
Jordan said he couldn’t stand by and watch his mother suffer so he decided to act without his mother knowing about his plans.
He visited the doctor to see if he was a match for transplant and he was.
When Jordan talks about his mother everyone can see his love and devotion for her.
“Everything she’s done for me since I was a kid, I just wanted to give it back to her, and show her how much I appreciate her,” he says.
Although they made struggles and faced tough times but now the story has a happy ending just due to the strong bond between a mother and her son.
