With One Teaspoon Cumin Every Day For Double Fat Loss & Say Goodbye to Belly Fat

This spice we’re going to present you today possesses a peppery taste that can add a warm, nutty flavor to your food and it’s traditionally used in Indian, Mexican and North African dishes. People use it all around the world for centuries. Cumin originates from Egypt, and it’s a key component in curry powder and chili powder.

The Complementary Therapies in Clinical Practice journal published a study which has examined and tested the effects of this powerful spice on overweight women. 88 overweight or obese women were randomly split into 2 groups. For 3 months, both of the groups received nutrition counseling and decreased their daily intake of calories by 500. One of the groups was also eating 3 grams (a little less than 1 teaspoon) of cumin powder daily, swirled into 5 ounces of yogurt, which is the same amount of yogurt, minus the cumin that was also prescribed to the control group.

After 3 months, the women eating cumin in their yogurt managed to lose an average of 50% more weight than the women eating only plain yogurt. Even more impressive is the fact that the cumin group members decreased body fat percentage by 14.4% for almost three times more that the control group, which is apparently because of the addition of the fat-burning spice.

The cumin group had some other improvements, too. They had decreased levels of harmful blood fats and their triglycerides dropped for 23 points. The participants in the cumin group had an average of nearly 10 points off their bad (LDL) cholesterol reading! The control group had only 1 point in that category. This actually reveals that the cumin eaters burn more calories by adding this super healthy spice into their diets.

From all of this, we can assume safely that cumin can help against atherosclerosis, heart disease and diabetes, problems related to high triglycerides levels. Experts claim that the main ingredients responsible for this are the glycoside saponins. They possess the ability to prevent cholesterol absorption and increase its excretion. People have used this spice to fight and treat many health problems such as: insomnia, respiratory disorders, anemia and even skin disorders. The compounds found in black cumin possess numerous anti-coagulant, anti-carcinogenic, hepato-protective, hypoglycemic, immune-modulatory, neuro-protective, anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties.
